Shuja + Jaslene Marrakech, Morocco
Shuja and Jaslene left their home in London and flew over to Marrakesh to have a three day celebration. It was an amazing 3 days, one that I wont forget!
It all kicked off on the Friday evening with a Mehndi, which was beautifully decorated in red and orange materials. There was henna and shisha for all the guests and a feast of food for everyone to enjoy. The evening started with Jaslene’s family putting her wedding bracelets on followed by music and dancing that got everyone into a party mood and ready for the rest of the weekend.
THE MEHNDI
THE PARTY
Saturday night party was pretty mega. It was held at an amazing restaurant in Marrakesh - Dar Zellij. Guests were welcomed outside the restaurant by Berber Boys playing drums and trumpets. After some rooftop drinks with a Moroccan sunset they had dinner downstairs, followed by a belly dancer and late night dancing.
THE WEDDING
The party carried on right through to the wedding day on the Sunday. The ceremony was held just outside of Marrakesh at Le Palais Paysan which was beautifully decorated by rose petals in the garden and a floral archway that framed Shuja and Jaslene perfectly. Jaslene looked absolutely stunning in her dress by Sabyasachi from BIBI LDN, which was adorned with sequins and jewels.
After the ceremony in the garden, Berber Boys were back in time for the reception which was held by a candle-lit pool. It rained later on in the evening but it stopped in time for a fire show which kept everyone in good spirits. The whole weekend finished with more dancing through the rest of the night.
Massive thanks to Nigel John for coming to shoot the wedding with me, and of course Shuja and Jaslene for having me as your Marrakech wedding photographer, it was truly an unforgettable experience!
